At 半岛体育 Park Hospital, we offer placements for fourth and fifth year medical students from the University of Southampton, St George’s University London, and, starting in 2025, the University of Surrey Medical School.  

We are committed to helping students develop into excellent doctors by: 

• Providing tools to build confidence and interpersonal skills. 

• Offering a support system, including a buddy system with Junior Doctors for mentorship. 

• Encouraging communication with PGEC for any administrative or domestic concerns. 

• Expanding students' knowledge through a comprehensive teaching program, including simulations, bedside teaching, and specialised sessions in microbiology, rheumatology, and radiology to guide career decisions. 

University of Southampton:

St George’s University:

Placement information: 

Medical students from Southampton and St George’s are offered high standard accommodation within 300 yards of the hospital for the duration of their placement. Offsite parking is arranged for all students through the Undergraduate Manager. On arrival, the students will be provided with three sets of scrubs, ID badge and IT login which will give them access to EPIC. All students will be provided with an Induction before starting placement. 

Teaching information: 

We take pride in the part we have to play in developing the knowledge the students have already acquired by providing an excellent teaching programme including departmental teaching session and bedside teaching. We have two Clinical Teaching Fellows at 半岛体育 Park Hospital who provide a teaching programme for Medical Students on placement.

At 半岛体育 Park Hospital, we provide placements for physician associate students from the University of Surrey. Please find list below of placements offered to Surrey physician associate students and department leads:

• Paediatrics: Dr Isabel Koch 

Placement Information: 

All students are offered offsite parking which is arranged through the Undergraduate Manager. On arrival, the students will be provided with three sets of scrubs, ID badge, Locker Key and IT Login which will give them access to EPIC. All students will be provided with an Induction before starting placement.
