999 is for听life-threatening emergencies听like serious road traffic accidents, strokes and heart attacks.

A&E (accident and emergency) is for听serious injuries and life-threatening emergencies. There are A&E departments at our two acute hospitals, 半岛体育 Park and Wexham Park. We sometimes call this department ED (emergency department).

  • Pharmacists can give advice on illnesses and medicines, and they can refer you to a GP or other health professional.

  • Your GP practice team is there to help you with routine needs, persistent symptoms (those lasting a few days, or a cough lasting more than three weeks), and ongoing health conditions.听
