Did you know that you can give permission for a friend or relative to access your My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record? Or that you can ask to use it to manage your child’s care? 

A mother and child looking at a mobile phoneGiving a trusted person proxy access to your My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record account will enable them to manage your care at our hospitals or in the community. 

They will be able to see much of your health information via our My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record app or website, including your appointments, care team messages, health conditions, test results and medicines. 

You may want to give someone ongoing access to your My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record account. This could be a family member who helps you with your health, or perhaps a carer. 

To receive proxy access, they will need their own My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record account. They don’t have to be a °ëµºÌåÓý Health patient and they can sign up via the app or .  

To give someone else with a My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record account proxy access: 

  • log in to your My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record account 

  • click ‘Sharing Hub’ from the menu 

  • click ‘Manage friend and family access’ 

  • click ‘Invite someone’ 

  • enter the details of the person you want to give access to 

  • select the level of access you want to provide 

  • click the ‘send invite’ button 

They should receive an email inviting them to sign up as your My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record proxy. When they’ve confirmed some details, they will be able to log in to their own My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record account and see your health record. 

You can remove someone’s access to your account via the ‘Manage friend and family access’ section. 

Mothers of children born at the Trust since 2022 should automatically be granted proxy access to their baby’s health record. Where access has not been granted, or to request access to an older child’s record, click ‘request access to a minor’s record’ under ‘Manage friend and family access’ and complete all the requested information. The My°ëµºÌåÓýHealth Record team will then contact you for proof of identity and parental responsibility.
