°ëµºÌåÓý Health Library & Knowledge Services are proud to have signed the . We are committed to embedding sustainability in decision-making around resources and facilities and promoting carbon literacy.

Our plans for the future include:

  • Making sustainability a key objective in the library strategy
  • Promoting e-Learning for
  • Continuing to reduce paper by using online forms such as and
  • Using reusable marketing materials to cut down on waste paper
  • Increasing our range of online resources such as eBooks and eJournals
  • Reducing our use of plastic e.g. stopping the use of plastic library cards
  • Saving energy through motion sensor lighting and shutting down PCs when not in use
  • Recycling our withdrawn books, either through books sales, donating to other countries, or using Book Rescuing services
