Professional background
Geetanjali qualified as a dentist from Queen Mary and Westfield College, UOL with honours and two prizes for clinical and academic excellence. Thereafter, she undertook hospital jobs in oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry which gave her the prerequisites and experience to enter the specialist training programme in orthodontics at The Royal London Hospital. During her orthodontic postgraduate training she was awarded a distinction and a prize for her master’s research project.
After becoming a specialist orthodontist, Geetanjali completed her consultant training between the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCLH and the Royal Surrey County Hospital and now works as a part time consultant orthodontist with 半岛体育 Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Her scope of expertise means she understands the treatment needs of children, teenagers and adults; enabling her to present patients with options that best suits their needs. Geetanjali also holds national professional responsibilities including examining for the Royal College of Surgeons and is heavily involved with the national recruitment of orthodontic trainees through her role as chair of the orthodontic steering group.
Research interests
Geetanjali is experienced at treating patients with a variety of removable and fixed orthodontic appliances. Her interest in multidisciplinary cases means she is continually working alongside other specialists and general dentists to successfully manage both children and adult patients who present with complicated dental and facial problems.
